Hair-on-hide is considered an exotic material. Handle your bag with care to preserve the hide's natural texture.

Carry it with clean, dry hands, and avoid lotions, perfume or oils on the hair.

Shedding is normal. Loose hairs are part of the character of real hide, and they lessen with time.

The hide can bald where it is rubbed often.

To prevent balding, avoid use in high-friction areas, such as against a hip, under an arm, or against rough fabrics and seat belts.

Store in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.

Keep it in its dust bag, stuffed lightly to hold its shape, and never stacked under heavy items.

Gently brush the hair in the direction it grows with a soft, dry brush.

Blot spills right away with a dry cloth. Never soak, rub or put the bag in water.

For deep stains, take it to a leather specialist.
